Beached at the Edinburgh Festival, Come beachcombing at the fringe!

                                                            Beached

Following last years ‘5* Outstanding’(Edinburgh49.org) review the EDS gallery has invited me  to return with an installation, Beached. Explore the sea’s edge through legend, environment and flotsam’s intrigues. Discover the porcelains, sculptures, and treasures from my workshop washed onto her beach; see what nets have brought up; or find what’s lying around the captains cabin! Mediums include bronze, ceramic and papier-mâché.  Also welcome back, poet in residence Dawn Gorman, embroidering the installation with her words, storyteller Francis Maxey, with ‘The Ship of Dreams’; and, with enthralling music, harpist Bianca Watts, during sundowners.
Find Liz at the beach most days, or join her for sundowners 5-6pm Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

In association Dawn brings A Word in Your Shell-Like  August 11th  7.30pm, a castaway edition of her monthly Bradford on Avon reading series, Words & Ears. Guest poets Georgi Gill and JL Williams plus open mic - all welcome to read. (Tickets £3)
Francis brings ‘Ship of Dreams’, tales of loss and redemption on August 12th at 6.30pm.  From comic tales of knots and Cyclops to stories of Captains who are blinded for seeing the truth.  Nautical tales, knots and a shanty.
